About Alix Berglund
MBA, MS, ONC
Alix helps coordinate and organize the day to day and big picture elements of our Oncology Nutrition Consulting and Education efforts.
Alix discovered her passion for holistic health and nutrition through her own misfortune when she received an “incurable” cancer diagnosis in 2007. She fully embraced food as medicine and became fascinated by the topic. She went on to receive a Master’s in Science in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University in 2012 and has graduated from the 250 hour Oncology Nutrition Consulting program at the Oncology Nutrition Institute. Alix feels that because of her own health history she especially connects and empathizes with Remission Nutrition’s clients and loves to introduce other practitioners to the ever growing and immensely important field of oncology specific nutrition therapy.
Before pursuing her career in nutrition, Alix received a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder and held several positions in the field of finance. She also continues to work as the business manager for her husband’s architecture firm. Alix grew up on the east coast but was called west as a young adult and has lived in CO since graduating from college.
When not working, Alix enjoys doing just about anything outside in the mountains - she’s a strong believer in the healing power of the outdoors. She is happiest and feels most alive when hiking, biking, skiing and camping, ideally with her husband and their two golden retrievers. She also cherishes every meal as she sees each as an opportunity to nudge her body just a little bit closer to radiant health.
