June Full Moon
At Remission Nutrition, we believe that healing is cyclical, just like the rhythms of nature. One of the most powerful cycles to tune into is the full moon, a time to reflect, release, and reconnect with your intentions.
This month’s full moon is called the Strawberry Moon. It arrived on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 1:44 AM (MDT). The full moon is more than just a beautiful celestial moment—it’s a natural invitation to slow down, check in, and align your body and spirit with deeper rhythms of restoration.
Why It’s Called the Strawberry Moon
The name comes from the Algonquian peoples of North America, who saw the June full moon as a sign that wild strawberries were ripe for harvest. It’s a moon associated with seasonal transition—a perfect metaphor for personal growth and gentle release.
A Rare and Beautiful Lunar Moment
This year’s Strawberry Moon is exceptionally low on the horizon, part of a rare lunar standstill that only happens every 18.6 years. That means the moon will appear larger, golden, and almost orange, casting a warm glow across the landscape. Astrologically, it encourages expansion, curiosity, and letting go of limiting beliefs, particularly in areas such as healing, identity, and purpose.

Ways to Embrace the Full Moon
Here are some gentle, nourishing ways to embrace this lunar energy, rooted in Remission Nutrition’s belief in holistic wellness:
Reflect & Release
Create a quiet, sacred space. Close your eyes and take deep breaths to get in tune with your body and mind. Visualize thoughts, habits, or beliefs you’re ready to let go of—especially those holding back your healing or sense of peace. Breath out to release what no longer serves you, and breathe in renewed grounding energy.
Set Intentions
Along with letting negative energies go, reflect on the positives you would like to bring with you—set intentions by writing them down or manifesting them through meditations. These intentions don't have to be large; they can be minor details that will build and create positive changes. Start small, like saying "Good morning, I love you" to yourself each morning when you wake up.
Nourish Yourself
Full moons can make your body feel more sensitive or emotionally heightened. Support your nervous system with calming herbal teas like:
Chamomile – soothing and sleep-supportive
Lemon balm – calming for the gut and mind
Holy basil (tulsi) – known for adrenal support and emotional balance
Or, eat grounding and satiating foods that are balanced and energizing, such as:
Turmeric - Turmeric is a golden, earthy root known for its powerful anti-inflammatory and grounding properties. It helps detox the liver and calm the nervous system. Add to soups or smoothies.
Avocado - Rich in healthy fats, magnesium, and potassium, avocados help stabilize blood sugar and calm the nervous system. Their creamy texture and earth-grown roots make them a deeply grounding, satisfying food.
Bone broth - A deeply nourishing, mineral-rich elixir. Bone broth is grounding, hydrating, and supports gut, skin, and joint health—ideal for lunar phases when the body may feel more sensitive.
Strawberries and Rhubarb - Try the recipe at the end of this blog to apply these two seasonal and grounding foods into your Full Moon routine.
These foods bring warmth and connection back to the body, helping you stay rooted through energetic shifts.
Moon Bathing
If possible, step outside and stand under the moonlight. Breathe deeply and let the moonlight wash over you and soften your thoughts. Even five minutes of moonlight exposure can support your circadian rhythm, calm your nervous system, and inspire a sense of cosmic connection.
Practice Mindfulness
Full moon energy can be intense, making us feel ungrounded. This is normal and all a part of being human. Embrace it and treat yourself with kindness and support. Take deep breaths and practice being mindful during these times. Take moments throughout your day to pause and notice your present moment instead of rushing through each action of your day. Do a mindfulness meditation where you focus on the breath to ground and center yourself. Even five minutes of breathwork will help.
Healing Is a Cycle
The full moon is not a finish line—it’s a checkpoint. A moment to acknowledge how far you’ve come and choose what you’re ready to carry forward.
